It’s been a few since we’ve heard from Jackie Greene — at least in terms of solo work.

More recently, he’s collaborated with Joan Osborne in Trigger Hippy, Bob Weir, and became a member of the last Black Crowes lineup.

His eighth studio album, Back to Birth is out Friday. There has been early Triple A airplay on the single Trust Somebody, but we also like the rockers The King is Dead and especially Now I Can See for Miles.

Greene performed earlier this month at FMQB’s Triple A Radio Conference in Boulder, and showed he’d come a very long way since playing that same conference years ago as a Dylan-esque singer-songwriter.
