Memphis singer-songwriter Julien Baker lets us get inside her head with a delicate indie debut called Sprained Ankle

Rachel Syme, writing for The New Yorker, said it better than we ever could when she suggested “Listening to Julien Baker’s music makes you feel like an interloper, eavesdropping on someone else’s prayers.”

The sparse, delicate, acoustic performances on her debut album Sprained Ankle have continued to win fans since originally released late last year — with The New York Times, Vulture, Stereogum, and NPR Music all praising the Memphis-based singer-songwriter.

While the title track is the emphasis song, for radio we also like the slightly more uptempo Everybody Does, and the piano-based Go Home. Find the album here.
