The New York-via-Boulder synth pop duo is well known to fans of synth pop duos, but perhaps new to you. Check out the video for their latest single, “Crying in Public”…

It’s been more than ten years since Caroline Polachek started making music, more than eight as Chairlift.
First, with Aaron Pfenning at the University of Colorado, but mostly with Patrick Wimberly, who joined in 2007 (Pfenning left in 2010).
Chairlift has two albums and two EPs under their collective belt, and this year released their third full-length, Moth.
The most recent single, Crying in Public takes their music in a decidedly chill-wave direction — slowing things down yet still delivering a big pop hook.
