It’s always sunny in Philadelphia, and this week it will also be unseasonably hot.

By the time the NON-COMMvention kicks off on Wednesday, the temperature is forecast to reach 89°, peaking Thursday at 93° before sliding back to 88° on Friday. Pack accordingly.

The 56-hour event starts Wednesday at 4pm with the opening party, sponsored by NPR’s World Cafe. We’ll meet new host Talia Schlanger, and hear about upcoming plans — including those for World Cafe Nashville. Music showcases start at 7 p.m.

Walk up registration rates are $260 for music industry employees, $160 for radio employees. Once again, day rates are available at $125.

In other NON-COMMvention news, the band PWR BTTM has cancelled its showcase scheduled for Friday night. The move comes amid a myriad of problems for the band related to sexual assault accusations against singer Ben Hopkins. There are no plans to replace them on the NON-COMM schedule.

Details regarding lodging, registration, schedule, and artist lineup are available by navigating from the tabs at the top of the page.
