Recently, the published a graphic that I had to share. The infographic, prepared by Information is Beautiful, ranks streamers by how much they pay independent artists (signed acts get a streaming cut based on their contracts).

Further, the chart shows how many spins are required at each company for an unsigned artist to make minimum wage. That’s 90,000 on Napster, but 2.4 million on YouTube.

And since none of the companies are in the black, the graphic also charts loss per user.
