Nielsen – Generation Z Are the Most Diverse Media Consumers Yet

Nielsen’s Total Audience Report sheds light on how Generation Z is shaping up in terms of media consumption.

While Generation X gets credit for rapid adoption of new platforms, Generation Z benefits from living in households that have more spending power (those of their parents), and a greater diversity of media options.

Two interactive charts illustrate the story.  The first graph shows the impact of the growing Hispanic population. While just 8% of the Greatest Generation (71+) was Hispanic, they make up 22% of Generation Z.
