Jansen's "Bells" will be released stateside on March 15.

Back in Holland, Laura Jansen has a gold record with Bells. That’s a not too shabby 250,000 sold in The Netherlands — thanks in part to a piano-based cover of Kings of Leon’s Use Somebody.

Now based in L.A., Jansen hopes to expand her base.

Discovered in the U.S. by singer-songwriter Joshua Radin, he took her out on tour as an opener and she’s been gaining steam since.

Jansen is now on the road again with Radin as well as Cary Brothers, and will appear at SXSW. Later in the year, she’ll have a slot on the tastemaking Hotel Café tour.

Bells will be released here in mid-March on Decca, with the track Single Girls already at radio.

Kings of Leon had to postpone their London gig at O2 Arena when their tour bus burned last week.

Displaying incredible multitasking skills, the band also dislodged Mumford and Sons on two of our six airplay charts. Mumford still reigns on two others; The Arcade Fire and The Decemberists also have Number Ones.
